PROUD MEMBERS OF
FERGUSON KNIVES
LEE FERGUSON and his wife LINDA FERGUSON are both knifemakers. Each has their
own style, and each handcrafts their own knives completely. We offer many different
kinds of custom knives. All are handmade from the finest materials available that are
suitable for the use of the knife.
The WOODCARVING KNIVES are handmade with tool steel blades and rosewood handles.
They come pre-sharpened---ready to use. These knives hold an edge well and are
easy to maintain. Most can be shipped within a few days, and shipping is FREE
on woodcarving knives.
The handcrafted CUSTOM KNIVES come in many styles---art daggers, hunting knives,
fishing knives, folding knives, miniatures, and camp axes. We use a wide variety
of natural and manmade materials and the best steels. Most come with handmade
sheaths. Actual shipping and insurance will be added to the price. Since these
are custom knives, and often "one of a kind," you may contact us for
further information.
ABOUT LEE FERGUSON
From the Knife World Article by Charlie K. Brown
...he builds both quality and beauty into his blades, and into the engraving and
scrimshaw as well. It is safe to say of Lee Ferguson that he takes a liberal dose
of common sense, plus ordinary intelligence, gifted craft skill in his hands,
and produces the finest knifes he is capable of offering the many customers for
them. Solidly built hunting, fishing and utility knives are the mainstay of Lee's
knife line. The beautiful art daggers, boot knifes and Bowies are the media then,
for total expression of this multitalented man.
From the Tools 'n' Tips article by Dick Sawyer
...Some really remarkable things come in small packages, perform as advertised,
and are a delight to behold and use, Lee Ferguson's carving knives fall into
this category. Lee made his first edged tool for himself in 1975. He only began
making knives for woodcarvers in 1988. His art pieces, however---World Class
daggers, Medieval broadswords, and highly functional yet aesthetically elegant
hunting knives---are in great demand. Pieces about Lee Ferguson have appeared
in the NORTHWEST ARKANSAS TIMES, KNIFE WORLD, TRADITIONAL ARCHERY, and FISHING
LINE.
ABOUT LINDA FERGUSON
LINDA FERGUSON has been a craftsperson since the age of six when she began
making doll clothes. She progressed to all types of needlework, beadwork, flower
arranging, and woodworking. In 1999, Linda married long-time custom knifemaker
Lee Ferguson. Linda asked Lee to teach her how to make miniature knives from
the fascinating pieces left over from his knifemaking.
LINDA FERGUSON is a 2004 Member of The Knifemakers’ Guild
and a member of The Miniature Knifemakers Association. One of her miniature
knives has been on display in the Clinton Museum in Little Rock, AR.
